Purpose of the post
To assist the Youth Development Officer to plan, coordinate, deliver and monitor high-quality targeted youth work activities that support young people aged 8–18 across Doncaster with their academic, personal and social development.
The role will be closely linked to the Premier League Inspires and Premier League Kicks programmes, but may also involve work in other areas at points in the year (for example holiday camps). The young people engaged will typically experience a range of needs and challenges, including poor attendance, behaviour or attitude to learning at school, low aspirations or involvement in anti-social behaviour in the community, mental health challenges or special educational needs/disabilities, and vulnerability to child criminal/sexual exploitation. Target outcomes will be closely linked to the Outcomes Frameworks for the Premier League Inspires and Premier League Kicks programmes.
