About the Role
The Foundation is recruiting casual Wellbeing Support Matchday Officers to help deliver Stay in the Game, a matchday awareness initiative run in partnership with the Samaritans and other local suicide prevention organisations. You'll be part of a team raising awareness of suicide prevention and encouraging conversations around mental health at Men's first-team home fixtures, starting with the Fulham game on Saturday 10 October 2026.
What You'll Do
Deliver matchday activations in line with the Premier League's Together Against Suicide campaign
Engage with supporters, partners, and stakeholders at the matchday hub within Portman Road Stadium
Support the Matchday Hub Lead in gathering feedback, insights, and impact data
Signpost supporters to relevant support services where appropriate
Help create a welcoming environment for open conversations around mental health
What They're Looking For
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence engaging with a wide range of people
A passion for supporting wellbeing and making a positive community impact
Empathy, professionalism, and discretion
Desirable: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) qualification, suicide prevention training, or prior experience in community engagement, wellbeing, or support-based roles
Practical Details
Location: Portman Road Stadium, Ipswich
Hours: Casual, approximately 5 hours per Men's first-team home fixture, 2026/27 season
Pay: Paid role, with Umbro Pro kit access and a match ticket (subject to availability)
