About the Role
Morecambe FC Community Foundation is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator on a three-year fixed-term contract, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, to deliver a new project called "Exploring Volunteering." The project supports people on a journey into volunteering through weekly sessions that help build connections, confidence, self-esteem, and health and wellbeing.
What You'll Do
Design and deliver weekly engaging sessions in safe and welcoming spaces
Build relationships with local organisations to unlock new training and placement pathways
Provide 1-1 mentoring and group support to participants
What They're Looking For
A professional qualification or equivalent experience in community development, social or youth work
Proven experience coordinating volunteers or leading group work within a third-sector organisation, charity, or community sports foundation
Direct experience supporting individuals facing complex socio-economic barriers, mental health challenges, long-term unemployment, or intense isolation
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
Full UK driving licence and access to transport with business use insurance
Ability to work evenings, weekends, including match days, and bank holidays
Practical Details
Contract: Three-year fixed term
