About the Role
The Pars Foundation is looking for a highly skilled, professional and committed Charity Operations Manager to join the team. The postholder will lead the development and delivery of a range of health and wellbeing initiatives designed to meet the needs of Dunfermline and West Fife communities, working alongside a range of partners and agencies - including physical and mental health professionals, local council officials, and community organisations - to enable people to live more active, healthy and aspirational lives. The role sits within a team of development managers supporting the Foundation's wider community activities and events, reporting to the General Manager.
What You'll Do
Work with the General Manager and Board of Trustees to expand and develop the Foundation's charitable objectives
Build an in-depth understanding of local communities, their needs, and current provision
Develop and deliver projects that address identified needs and gaps in provision
Build effective partnerships with local, regional and national agencies, healthcare providers, and community organisations
Identify funding needs and opportunities, and develop funding bids to support charitable projects
Recruit and support staff and volunteers across the Foundation's health and wellbeing programmes
Represent the Pars Foundation at events and meetings with local authorities, the SFA, SPFL Trust, NHS Fife and other key partners
Report regularly to the General Manager and Board of Trustees on the progress of charitable activity
Ensure best practice around safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health and safety
What They're Looking For
Experience of programme design, delivery and impact measurement
Experience managing staff and budgets
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of partners
Knowledge of the funding system and experience completing funding applications
Strong written skills, including development plans, work programmes and reports
Excellent ICT literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
A degree or relevant qualification is desirable, as is knowledge of Scottish charity governance and safeguarding
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (desirable)
Self-driven, professional and approachable, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the local community
Practical Details
Location: KDM Group, East End Park, Halbeath Road, Dunfermline, with some travel across Dunfermline and West Fife
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week - some evening and weekend work expected
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Benefits: Generous pension, mileage allowance and free on-site parking (non-matchday), bespoke CPD through partners including SPFL Trust, SFA and NHS Scotland, company laptop, Pars Foundation staff kit, invitations to DAFC club events, and a DAFC season ticket
