Active Humber is looking for a trustee to join its Board and help create a happier, healthier and stronger community across the Humber.

About Active Humber
Active Humber is a registered charity and one of 41 Active Partnerships across the country, funded by Sport England to improve lives through physical activity and sport. Its vision is a Humber where everyone, every day is physically active, and its mission is to get the most physically inactive to be active.

The role
- Voluntary, unremunerated trustee position
- Help lead Active Humber to achieve its mission and purpose: asking questions that challenge the organisation to think differently, making suggestions to move things forward and acting as a sounding board for ideas
- This vacancy is for someone with a financial or accounting background who can contribute to the Finance and Audit Committee
- Previous Board experience is not essential

They would particularly welcome applicants who can also bring experience, knowledge or understanding of:
- Environmental sustainability
- Equality and inclusivity
- The voice of communities less likely to take part in physical activity, for example people over 55, people living with a disability or long-term health condition, and people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds

Active Humber wants its Board to reflect the diversity of the communities it serves and welcomes applications from people whose backgrounds, perspectives and lived experience can help it address the barriers to physical activity.

Key dates
- Closing date: 19 November 2026
- Interviews: in person at the Aura Centre on 1 December 2026
