About the Role
The Trust is looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Health & Wellbeing Manager to lead and develop its Children & Young People health and wellbeing programmes. You'll manage a portfolio of projects supporting the mental health, wellbeing and personal development of children and young people across Hertfordshire and North West London, including programmes on mental health, violence against women and girls, emotional wellbeing and wider health priorities. Working closely with the Head of Health & Wellbeing, you'll drive programme growth, build partnerships, manage staff and resources, and ensure lasting impact for participants.
What You'll Do
Lead the development, delivery and growth of Children & Young People health and wellbeing programmes
Manage programme performance, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring KPIs and contractual requirements are met
Build and maintain relationships with schools, local authorities, health partners, community organisations and funders
Identify opportunities for service development, innovation and programme growth
Line manage the Health & Wellbeing Community Coach, and oversee recruitment and development of coaches, volunteers and casual staff
Ensure programmes are delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies
Support funding applications, tenders and partnership opportunities alongside the Head of Health & Wellbeing
Capture and report on programme impact through monitoring, evaluation and participant engagement
What They're Looking For
Mental Health First Aid and First Aid qualifications
A relevant qualification or experience in health, wellbeing, public health, mental health, education, youth work, sport or physical activity
Experience developing, coordinating or delivering health and wellbeing programmes for children and young people
Experience managing safeguarding concerns relating to children, young people and adults at risk
Experience line managing staff, volunteers and/or casual workforce members
Experience building partnerships with schools, community organisations and key stakeholders
Experience monitoring and evaluating programme performance and outcomes
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
A flexible approach, including occasional evenings and weekends
Desirable: Safeguarding Level 2+, Suicide Prevention Training, experience with SEND or neurodiversity, budget management, and experience securing funding or writing funder reports
Practical Details
Location: Vicarage Road Stadium, with various locations across Hertfordshire and Harrow
Hours: 40 per week
Contract: One-year fixed-term, with potential for extension subject to funding
Salary: £33,000
