Accessible outdoor adventure breaks (Calvert Lakes)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Lake District Calvert Trust welcomes people with disabilities, alongside their friends, families and carers, to its specialist, fully accessible outdoor activity centre on the outskirts of Keswick, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Using adaptable equipment and inclusive activities, it offers residential adventure breaks for adults, families and groups (schools, charities and clubs), horse-riding sessions at Calvert Stables, and a hydrotherapy pool and sensory room open to the public. Its aim is to empower people with disabilities to challenge themselves in a nurturing environment and to build confidence and independence.
