Armed Forces Football Mentoring Programme (Fleetwood Town Community Trust)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
A football mentoring programme run by Fleetwood Town Community Trust for the Armed Forces community, veterans and young people aged 16 to 25. Weekly sessions invite people to get active, make new connections and share experiences across generations. Alongside the weekly sessions, the Trust is building a team to play friendlies, tournaments and league games against other veterans' sides. Sessions run every Friday from 7pm to 8pm at Fleetwood Rugby Club (FY7 8AY). The Trust's Onward Together programme for the local Armed Forces community (serving personnel, veterans and their families) lists Friday evening Veterans Football Team training at Fleetwood Town Rugby Club among its weekly activities, alongside walk and talk sessions, a gardening club and coffee mornings at the Veterans Community Garden, an online session for people experiencing isolation or mobility challenges, social events, and support and signposting, including employability support for people leaving the Armed Forces.
