Chance to Shine Street
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Chance to Shine Street runs free weekly cricket clubs for young people aged 8-24 in under-served, economically disadvantaged areas of England, Scotland and Wales. Clubs play a fast tapeball format called Street20 in sports halls, youth clubs, parks, places of worship and community centres, with no kit or equipment needed. Coaches act as mentors, teaching leadership, teamwork and communication, and young people with leadership potential are encouraged to train as coaches. In 2024/25, 302 Street clubs reached 10,292 young people, 71% of them from minority ethnic backgrounds.
