ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

City Inspires is City in the Community's education programme, partnered with the Premier League and delivered in secondary schools across Greater Manchester. It uses the appeal of Manchester City and the Premier League to work with groups of secondary school learners who are at risk of not reaching their potential, supporting them as they move through the education system and into early adulthood and giving them the confidence, resilience and skills to succeed. From the 2026/27 academic year schools can take a new five-day model instead of the standard one day a week with a CITC coach: it brings Premier League Inspires sessions together with CITC Mentoring and mental health workshops to give schools a holistic, wraparound offer, in three options (A: two days of Inspires, one day of mental health support, one day of mentoring and one day of pastoral float; B: four days of Inspires and one day of pastoral float; C: three days of Inspires, one day of mental health support and one day of mentoring). The programme is supported by funding from the Premier League Foundation.
