Club Connections
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Club Connections is Newcastle Rugby Foundation's grassroots rugby participation programme for the North East, set up in 2021 with programme partner Fusion for Business in response to Sport England Active Lives data showing 29.0% of children and young people in the North East doing fewer than 30 minutes of physical activity a day (national average 35.5%). The programme boosts grassroots rugby participation while helping community clubs and schools reduce their energy costs. Over the last four years it has worked with 72 clubs, held 7 coaching events and involved 13,381 young people in match day activities. Contact: Community Hotline 0191 214 2866.
