Community sailing programmes
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Andrew Simpson Foundation runs community sailing programmes designed to deliver positive social impact, particularly for individuals and groups who face barriers to accessing outdoor activities. Delivered across its community sailing centres in Portland, Portsmouth, Reading and Birmingham, the programmes are free or heavily subsidised thanks to funders and supporters, and use sailing and watersports as a catalyst for growth, confidence, health and connection, with a focus on developing skills and personal pathways, wellbeing, inclusivity and enabling active participation.
