Disability Football (Cheltenham Town Community Trust)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Cheltenham Town Community Trust's Disability Football Programme offers inclusive and supportive football opportunities for both adults and young people, whether they want to build confidence, get active or simply enjoy the game. Its teams, Cheltenham Town Stars, Robins and Reds, represent Cheltenham Town FC in competitions throughout the season, with weekly training led by FA-qualified coaches. Adult sessions run every Wednesday from 5pm to 6:30pm, outdoors in summer and indoors or on astroturf in winter, with friendly fixtures on selected Sundays and social activities through the year. The Trust lists improved physical and mental wellbeing, reduced isolation and loneliness and enhanced self-confidence among the benefits. The programme is funded by Barnwood Trust.
