Fishing therapy sessions
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Tackling Minds uses fishing to support people experiencing poor mental health, addiction and social isolation. Its angling sessions run throughout the year at partner venues around the North West, led by qualified 1st4sport angling coaches with all tackle and bait provided, and typically offer two-to-one tuition in small groups. Sessions are accessed through referrals from health professionals, support workers or individuals themselves, and provide a therapeutic outdoor activity that builds confidence, connection and wellbeing.
