ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

Fit and Fed is StreetGames' national holiday programme giving children and young people from low-income, under-served communities free physical activity and nutritious meals during the school holidays. It targets three linked problems families face in the holidays: food poverty, isolation and inactivity. Sessions are run by locally trusted organisations in StreetGames' network (sports clubs, community groups, youth services, housing associations and leisure trusts) as 'doorstep sport with food'. Since it began in 2016 the campaign has reached at least 66,198 children and young people and provided more than 528,000 free meals across England and Wales.

ACCESSIBILITY

Fit and Fed provides free holiday activity sessions with free healthy meals, delivered by locally trusted organisations in young people's own neighbourhoods ("doorstep" delivery), because even a short drive away is not realistic for many of them to attend.

SAFEGUARDING
