ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

Sport 4 Life UK, founded in Birmingham in 2006, is a West Midlands youth employment charity that uses sport as a hook to engage disadvantaged young people. Its Get Fit for Employment and employability programmes are for 16-29 year olds not in education, employment or training (NEET). They combine sports sessions with one-to-one mentoring, employability training, accredited qualifications and youth-led social action. The charity also runs a schools service, targeted crime-diversion work for young people at risk of offending, and an Impact Partner model that supports other youth organisations. Mentoring continues after young people move into work or education.
