Golf participation programmes
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Golf Foundation introduces children and young people to golf through two national participation programmes. Unleash Your Drive is a six-week, teacher-led programme for primary and secondary schools that uses golf to build mental toughness and life skills; almost 10% of UK schools have registered. For this school strand, schools pay £348 for the full package (Golfway kit, online training, printed and digital resources and evaluation tools) or can apply for fully funded places; sessions delivered in school are free for pupils. GolfSixes League, delivered with England Golf, Scottish Golf, Golf Ireland and Wales Golf, gives young beginners team-based competition at local clubs across the four Home Nations; 133 leagues engaged 9,247 young players in 2025. GolfSixes session arrangements and any costs are set by participating clubs. Programmes are delivered through schools and golf clubs rather than direct public sign-up.
