Hawks Academy (cricket pathway for young people from disadvantaged communities)

Hawks Academy is an ongoing programme supported solely by Hampshire Cricket Foundation, the charity of Hampshire Cricket based at the Utilita Bowl, Southampton. The Foundation describes the academies as a vital lifeline for young people from disadvantaged communities, bridging the gap between recreational and elite cricket: participants build confidence and self-esteem, develop aspirations that benefit their academic and social lives, and many progress into the Hampshire Pathways programme, with some taking on coaching roles. The Foundation has announced it is expanding Hawks Academies into more contextually challenging areas of Hampshire. Academy venues, session times, ages and how young people are selected are not published on the Foundation's current pages, so those fields are left blank.
