Hoops 4 Health (Leicester Riders Foundation)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Hoops 4 Health is an educational programme from Leicester Riders Foundation that promotes healthy living and physical activity among pupils in Years 5 and 6, while introducing them to basketball. Delivered by Leicester Riders players and Foundation staff, it starts with a two-hour in-school roadshow in which pupils rotate through four workshops: fitness and exercise, healthy eating, smoking cessation and a basketball skills session. Participating schools are then invited to the Hoops 4 Health Tournament at the Mattioli Arena before a Leicester Riders home game, with 10 student tickets and 2 staff tickets to the game for each school.
