Military Veterans programme
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The LFC Foundation's Military Veterans programme uses free weekly football sessions at the Liverpool FC Academy and Netherton Goals, plus national football tournaments, to recapture the 'spirit of service' and comradeship often lost on return from military service. The sessions help ex-military service men and women increase physical activity, improve mental wellbeing through new friendships with like-minded people, and rebuild confidence affected by the return to civilian life. The programme is free and open to veterans of all abilities and ages; joining requires a pre-registration process with Project Lead Steve Hollis (steve.hollis@liverpoolfc.com), including proof of a Military Veteran Service Number.
