Millwall Mentoring (Millwall Community Trust)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Millwall Mentoring offers 1-1 mentoring through Millwall Community Trust's Premier League Kicks programme, helping young people overcome bullying, improve their mental wellbeing, reduce risky or harmful behaviours and manage anger. Referral partners including local police, schools and community organisations refer young people who meet the criteria; after assessment each young person is matched with a Millwall mentor coach who builds an individual programme of support. The aim is to support young people into education, training and employment and to improve their interpersonal skills; young people referred by the police are also supported to reduce offending. Mentors also run small group sessions, such as employability workshops, education interventions and job fairs, with Active Communities through its New Deals for Young People's programme.
