Open Court disability tennis programme
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Open Court Programme is the LTA's national scheme, jointly funded with Sport England, that actively promotes and delivers opportunities for disabled people to get involved in tennis and padel. It provides disability-specific sessions including adaptations for learning disability, wheelchair, visually impaired and deaf players, and is expanding into other long-term health conditions such as mental health and dementia. The LTA works with venues across the country, supporting them with an adaptive equipment bag, start-up funding, coach flying visits, marketing support and expert advice, in return for a 12-month commitment to deliver regular disability-specific sessions. Venues apply via the LTA's online application form; participants join sessions through local venues.
