Positive Futures (Trent Bridge Community Trust)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Positive Futures is Trent Bridge Community Trust's headline community project for young people aged 8 to 19 who are at risk of social exclusion. Established in 2009, it takes a prevention-based approach: one-to-one mentoring in schools to address attendance, behaviour and attainment, plus holiday activities, after-school and lunchtime clubs, ASDAN accreditations and sport leadership courses. The Trust says over 650 young people have received mentoring and 40 peer mentors have been trained over the past decade, and a three-year project in Newark saw a 33% reduction in youth crime in its final year.
