Reconnect (Sport for Confidence)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Reconnect is Sport for Confidence's place-based early help and prevention service, led by Occupational Therapists and delivered in local leisure and community settings alongside coaches. It supports adults with disabilities, long-term health conditions, autism or sensory needs, and their carers, to build meaningful routines, increase activity and reconnect with their communities, using activities shaped around the individual, from swimming and multi-sports to strength and balance. Developed through a Sport England-funded pilot, Reconnect is now a commissioned, countywide social care service in Essex and the London Boroughs of Havering and Waltham Forest, integrated with Public Health and Adult Social Care.
