Street Football Wales weekly sessions and Homeless World Cup pathway
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Street Football Wales is a Cardiff-based charity that uses football to tackle homelessness, social isolation and exclusion across Wales. It runs free, weekly street football sessions for adults who have faced homelessness, substance misuse or mental health problems, in towns and cities from Swansea and Cardiff to Rhyl and Haverfordwest, plus women-only sessions. Players can progress to national squads that represent Wales at the Homeless World Cup, and to volunteering, refereeing and coaching roles. The charity's 2025-2028 strategy targets outcomes including inclusion, wellbeing, employability, reduced substance misuse and stable housing.
