Walking Cricket (Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation delivers Walking Cricket, an inclusive, slower-paced format for people who want to stay active, social and connected without the intensity of the traditional game. Players walk instead of run, making it accessible for older adults or those with limited mobility, and the game uses soft balls and adapted rules for safety. The Foundation highlights physical benefits (fitness, flexibility, coordination), mental wellbeing and social connection, and aims to keep people active and part of the cricket family for life.
