Walking Rugby (Worcester Warriors Foundation)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Worcester Warriors Foundation runs walking sports, including walking rugby, as part of its inclusion programme. Walking sports keep the rules of the standard game but players walk rather than run, with no high-impact or strenuous activity, so men and women and less physically able people can play together and get moderate exercise in a social setting. Participants who wish to play rugby train weekly and take part in regular fixtures against other clubs. The programme aims to raise confidence, give people a safe environment to take part in sport and meet new people.
